About us
How we create our content
How Next Panamá creates its content: who writes and reviews each guide, which official sources the data comes from and how it is kept up to date.
In short
Every piece of content is written in Spanish, reviewed by Panamanian lawyers on an ongoing basis and shows its official sources and the date of its last update.
Writing and ongoing legal review
Content is written first in Spanish, which is the reference version. Panamanian lawyers licensed to practice review its accuracy on an ongoing basis, and we apply their corrections as soon as they find them. The date of the last review appears on each page.
Verified amounts and requirements
Figures that change with the law (minimum investments, required income, fees, timelines) are not typed by hand into each text. They are stored once, with their official source and the date they were verified, and every page that uses them is updated at the same time when they change.
Official sources
Every guide links to the official sources it is based on: laws, decrees and the websites of the Panamanian institutions that handle the procedure.
Tailored to your home country
We only create a version for a country when it adds its own information: eligibility based on nationality, documents you must obtain there, treaties with Panama or the implications of leaving the country. If it adds nothing new, we show the general version.
Translations
Versions in other languages start from the Spanish text, are translated with the help of translation tools and are reviewed by native speakers on an ongoing basis, just like the legal review. Some pages exist in only one language because they answer searches specific to its readers.
Updates and corrections
We review the content when the law changes. If you find an error, email us at [email protected] and we will look into it.
