Data controller
VertiTech Innovations, LLC, with its address at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. For any question about your data, email [email protected].
What data we process
When you browse the site and accept analytics, Google Analytics records, under a pseudonym, the pages you visit, where you came from, your device, browser and approximate location (without your full IP address). When you request a free consultation:
- Data you give us: name, email address, phone number (optional), nationality, country of residence, goal and the description of your case. We reply in the language of the form you fill in.
- Context of the request: the page you send it from, language, source of the visit and date and time.
- Security data: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device, and the result of the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam check.
- Email verification: we send you a 4-digit code to confirm that the email address is yours. Until you enter it, the request stays pending and is deleted automatically if you do not confirm it.
- Private area: the messages you exchange with the lawyer in each consultation, the files you attach to them (PDFs, images or Word documents, such as copies of your passport or certificates) and your profile (name, phone, nationality, country of residence, language and notices). If you sign in with your email and a code, we keep a session so you do not have to repeat it on every visit.
Do not include health data, criminal records or other sensitive information that is not necessary in the description or in attached files: we do not need it to handle your request. Only attach the documents the lawyer needs for your case. The service is not intended for people under 18.
What we use it for
- To handle your consultation request, refer it to the lawyer who will handle it, send you the service emails (verification code, request confirmation and updates about it) and give you access to your private area, where you carry on the conversation with the lawyer. Legal basis: your request and your consent.
- To protect the form against fraud, spam and malicious use. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security of the service.
- To measure how the site is used and improve its content with Google Analytics, only if you accept it. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw in «Cookie settings».
We do not use your data to send you advertising. To protect the form, the system automatically rejects submissions that fail the anti-spam check or exceed the submission limit; if this happens to you, email us and we will review your request.
Who we share it with
- The partner Panamanian lawyer or law firm that handles your consultation receives the data in your request and reads and replies to your conversation on the platform, but does not see the security data. They process your data as an independent controller for their advice and subject to professional secrecy.
- Service providers who process data only on our instructions: Vercel (site hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (Turnstile anti-spam check and storage of attached files in R2) and Google (Google Analytics, if you accept it).
- Authorities, when the law requires us to.
We do not sell, rent or share your data for commercial purposes.
International transfers
Your data, including attached files, is stored in the United States (including Google Analytics data, if you accept it) and the lawyer who handles your consultation is in Panama. If you live in the European Union or in another country with transfer rules, these transfers are necessary to provide the consultation you request, and transfers to our providers rely on the safeguards provided by law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Consultations and their conversations, with their attached files, for 12 months from the last message; after that they are deleted, along with your profile if you have none left. If you hire the lawyer, they keep the data they need under their own obligations.
- If you delete a message, its text and attached files are deleted at that moment. Files you upload but do not send are deleted within 24 hours.
- Full security data (IP, browser and headers), for 90 days; after that we keep only an encrypted identifier of the IP and aggregate data, which are deleted along with the request.
- Logs of submissions rejected for security reasons, for 30 days.
- Unconfirmed requests and verification codes, for up to one hour; each code expires 15 minutes after it is sent.
- Private area sessions, for 3 months or until you sign out.
- Google Analytics data, for the retention period configured in the tool, up to 14 months.
How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections, restricted database access and providers with recognized security measures. Security data is stored separately from the request. Attached files are kept in private storage and can only be downloaded, after checking that you have access to the consultation, through links that expire within one minute.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your data, object to its processing and withdraw your consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will reply within the period set by the applicable law. You can also file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country or with Panama's National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date. Each request stores the version you accepted.
